Learning | Sharing | Making | Did you know |The Tumbled Stone
Tips, tricks and techniques are always helpful, but I believe that what we all really need is a purpose and the ability to focus our efforts on that purpose.
I know, as a mother of three and an entrepreneur, in this world finding the time and energy to fit it all in is not an easy task.
This is my promise to you:
I promise you, the reward for establishing your path and finding your inner strength to stay focused will be worth it in the end!
On the pages of this blog I will provide tips, techniques, and projects ideas.
So why read this blog?
I will also provide some thought provoking articles and supplemental resources to that will guide and inspire you to find your own personal life path. Not the path you ended up on, but the path you always dreamed about following.
Not you, you can't?
I think you can.
What makes all the difference is letting go fear and all the voices telling you why "you cannot" and believing...
TRULY believing in yourself and your dreams.
I sew, among a few other things, but if you asked me to tell you what I do, sewing, embroidery and product design is my answer. The reality of my life is that I spend the least amount of my time sewing and the most of my time being a mom and working hard to run my business.
As a true small business owner, and I know you all can relate, starting and running your own business is so incredibly rewarding, but so incredibly exhausting. Its the greatest one person show on Earth. But at the end of the day, its your show. For all the good or any of the bad, its yours. There is nothing else like that.
Wait, What? You do not sew, actually you have NO interest in sewing so this blog is not for you?
SO you don't sew, you use and consume textiles and manufactured products in every aspect of your life! Having a better understanding of fibers, textiles and how things are made will only help you make better purchasing decisions.
More importantly than that,
all you need to do is just substitute in what ever it is you are passionate about.
You have my permission to use my story and my journey as an inspiration and get up and get going on your own path.
Still not convinced?
Remember that saying, You are never too old to learn?
Yes me too, but the older I get the more I realize just how true it is.
When you take the time every day to learn something new, about anything, you grow as a person.
Through this process I also ask for your help.
Help me to grow. Join into the conversation. Do not be afraid to share your thoughts and ideas.
So that's it.
You are officially invited to come along for my ride. If you are going to waste five minutes today scrolling through pictures on Facebook or Instagram anyway, try reading this blog instead. Have ideas about other projects or topics you would like me to research and present?
Just ask, the worst thing I will say is no;)
